We're just hours away from kickoff after a long week of partying, preparation, and plenty of fun. We have been working a lot, of course, but it's fun work. The experiences we've had this week in Miami will provide stories for years to come. From the first night at dinner sitting a table away from Paul Schaeffer at a jazz club, to the late night party for Hawaiian tropic filled with bikini models and psuedo celebrities. I would post pictures from that if I had the capability out here. Maybe when I get home. My wife is here for the weekend, and she was the photographer, so the pictures are tasteful!
Today I attempted my 16 mile run along the ocean. The view was spectacular, the weather was steamy. It was so hot I shortened my run to 14 miles and had to take a break to change shirts, and get some gatorade around mile 10.
The weather cooled off by mid afternoon- If only I could have ran then, but duty calls.
Tonight we enjoyed watching Styx in concert. It was a pre-game rally filled with plenty of Bears fans from Chicago and Florida transplants. Everyone is pumped up for tomorrow's game, cheering at the rally, dancing and celebrating. The evening wrapped up with a fireworks display that took place less than a football field's length away. In fact the satellight truck operator said that it reminded him of what he experienced in Iraq in 2003.
As we are now less than 24 hours away from kick-off we are anticipating a very busy day tomorrow. We'll be with the fans throughout the day and I'll be sure to keep you posted on all of the game day experiences.
Till then, Bear Down!
